Am I doing this for nothing?

Quote from Netflix Hacks

"In determining priority for shipping and inventory allocation, we give priority to those members who receive the fewest DVDs through our service," Netflix's revised policy now reads. The statement specifically warns that heavy renters are more likely to encounter shipping delays and less likely to immediately be sent their top choices.

All I have to say is...........................................................................................

That should seriously be illegal. Its like some sort of weird DVD rental welfare.

I recently switched from Netflix to Blockbuster after being a member for about a year and a half, as my impression was that Netflix processing times seemed to have increased. It is great though that someone is doing a scientific study! I suspected that it was Netflix that was slow and not the Post Office, because it always seemed to take longer from the time I sent a movie back to when Netflix said they had "received" it, compared to the time between when Netflix said they shipped a movie and I received it. The Post Office ought to be annoyed that Netflix is making them look bad!
